display

12.2-inch, 90Hz IPS LCDThe 3:2 aspect ratio and 90Hz refresh suit reading and document work more than video, and at 236 ppi you'll see individual pixels up close on text and images.

performance

Helio G99, Mali-G57 GPUThis mid-range chipset handles light productivity tasks and casual Android apps, but will struggle with demanding games or heavy multitasking.

battery

8000 mAh, about 10–12 hoursWith this capacity and the modest chipset, expect roughly one full day of mixed use (reading, email, light apps) before needing to charge.

camera

8MP main, 1080p video onlyThe 8MP sensor and 1080p@30fps limit this tablet to basic document scanning and casual video calls; distant shots will lack detail and motion video will look soft.

storage

128GB, microSDXC slot, USB 2.0You can expand storage, but USB Type-C 2.0 (not 3.0 or faster) means file transfers to a computer will be noticeably slower than newer tablets.

GoSolo Verdict

The Iconia Duo D12 is a 12.2-inch Android tablet built for desk work, reading, and stylus note-taking with a practical 3:2 screen and all-day battery. It is not a gaming device or mobile workhorse—the Helio G99 is sufficient for productivity apps, but camera and charging speeds are modest, and the 236 ppi display shows pixelation on text at close range.

Strengths · 4

3:2 aspect ratio and 12.2-inch size are genuinely better for reading and document work than widescreen tablets
Stylus support is standard and useful for note-taking without proprietary accessory upsell
8000 mAh battery with modest chipset should deliver a full day of reading and productivity use
Dedicated microSDXC slot for storage expansion, which many modern tablets omit

Trade-offs · 3

236 ppi display shows visible pixelation on text; rivals at this size and price often hit 264 ppi or higher, making reading less comfortable
No charging wattage disclosed and USB Type-C 2.0 means slow file transfers—a weakness for a device aimed at productivity work
8MP camera and 1080p-only video are below standard even for budget tablets, unsuitable for any content creation or quality video calls
