display

6.8-inch 720p, 258 ppiText and icons are noticeably blocky on this large screen; reading fine print or viewing details in photos will feel grainy compared to modern phones at this price.

performance

Unisoc T7200, Mali-G57This chipset handles basic apps, messaging, and video playback, but will stall on demanding games or heavy multitasking; expect lag when switching between several open apps.

battery

5010 mAh, no fast charge specThe large battery gives roughly 1.5 to 2 days of light use, but charging speed is unspecified and likely slow, so plan to leave it plugged in for several hours.

camera

13MP main, 5MP selfieMain camera can shoot 1080p video and handle daylight snapshots with the LED flash, but low-light shots and zoom will be soft; selfies are basic for video calls.

storage

64GB + microSDXC expansionThe 64GB is enough for apps and photos if you clean up regularly; microSDXC slot lets you add storage for music or videos without deleting installed apps.

connectivity

LTE, dual SIM, GPSLTE and dual Nano-SIM suit two phone numbers or carriers in the same device; GPS with GLONASS and Galileo fallbacks helps navigation stay locked even in weak signal areas.

GoSolo Verdict

The Alcatel A62 is a budget 6.8-inch Android phone with a weak 720p display, entry-level chipset, and 5010 mAh battery that claims light-use longevity but lacks specified fast charging. It is straightforward value for someone who makes calls, texts, and browses occasionally, but the low-pixel-density screen and sluggish Unisoc chip make it a tough sell against rivals offering 1080p displays and faster processors at this €70 price point.

Strengths · 3

Fresh Android 15 at launch with current Google features and security patches
Large 6.8-inch screen and substantial 5010 mAh battery suit light users who want durability between charges
microSDXC slot lets you add storage for music and videos without sacrificing installed apps

Trade-offs · 3

720p resolution on a 6.8-inch screen yields grainy text and soft visuals; rivals at this price now offer sharper 1080p panels
Entry-level Unisoc T7200 chipset stutters under any meaningful load—fine for messages and calls, frustrating for multitasking
Unspecified and almost certainly very slow charging means hours plugged in to refill the battery
