GoSolo Verdict

The Nokia 235 4G is a basic feature phone for users who need calls, texts, and radio without fuss—durable, light, and built for the global south's connectivity reality. It's an honest device for its purpose, though the screen and cameras are genuinely dated, even by feature-phone standards.

Strengths · 4

4G LTE on a device that weighs 106g and costs almost nothing; coverage and speed matter where smartphone battery life doesn't
Removable 1450 mAh battery and USB Type-C; you can swap it and stay powered without finding an outlet for days
Dual SIM, microSD slot, and FM radio—all the connectivity choices users in low-data regions actually use
LTE band support (including 38–41) covers most carrier networks across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East

Trade-offs · 2

2.8-inch 240×320 LCD is cramped and dim by 2026; text and icons are small even for a feature phone
1450 mAh battery will need daily charging under moderate 4G use, unlike older 2G-only phones that lasted a week
