performance

MediaTek Dimensity 6300, 2.4GHz 8-coreHandles everyday apps, social media, and light gaming without lag, but struggles with sustained demanding titles like PUBG or Genshin Impact on high settings.

battery

5000mAh, about 1.5 days moderate useSurvives a full working day on typical use (messaging, browsing, some video); heavy users will need charging by evening.

charging

25W wired, roughly 1–1.5 hours to fullModerately fast; plan on a lunch break or longer to top up from empty.

durability

IP54, no extreme dust/water protectionSurvives light splashes and brief rain, but will not survive submersion or heavy dust—keep it away from beach sand or sustained spray.

GoSolo Verdict

The Galaxy M16 5G pairs a 5000 mAh battery and large AMOLED screen at a sharp €130 price, but the entry-level MediaTek chip and 25W charging reveal its honest position as a value phone, not a shortcut to flagship features.

Strengths · 4

5000 mAh battery routinely hits full days on moderate use; heavy users get to evening without stress.
Super AMOLED display at 6.7" with 90Hz and 800 nits is genuinely smooth and readable in sunlight—a real step above LCD rivals at this price.
Compact and light: 7.9 mm thick, 191 g makes it a phone you don't feel in your pocket.
Six major Android upgrades promised, and it ships with Android 15—longevity that matters at this price point.

Trade-offs · 3

25W charging is slow by 2025 standards; rivals at this price now routinely hit 65W or higher, cutting charge time in half.
MediaTek Dimensity 6300 handles everyday work but stumbles on demanding games and multitasking; apps won't fly the way they do on mid-range Snapdragons.
IP54 is basic dust and splash resistance only; no submersion rating, and sand or sustained spray will get through.
