GoSolo Read / what it means5 takeaways

performance

MediaTek Helio G81, 2.0 GHzHandles everyday apps and casual mobile games at low-to-mid settings, but will stall on heavy 3D titles or intensive multitasking.

battery

5200 mAh, about 1 day light-to-moderate useOn a typical mix of messaging, browsing, and video, you'll reach evening with charge left, but a heavy day of gaming or video calls drains it faster.

display

6.67 inches, 720 × 1600, 480 nitsLarge enough for comfortable reading and video, but the 480-nit peak means outdoor sunlight will wash out content, and the 720p resolution shows visible pixelation at this screen size.

storage

128 or 256 GB, microSD slot up to 2 TBChoose the 256 GB model if you shoot video or download games; the microSD slot lets you expand cheap for media and backups.

durability

IP54, 8.34 mm thickSplash-resistant in rain or a splash, but not waterproof for full submersion; the thin 8.34 mm body is light and pocketable but more prone to bending under pressure.

GoSolo Verdict

The TCL 605 is a big, light, budget Android phone that prioritizes screen size and battery life over performance or display clarity. It's a decent fit for messaging and video in developing markets, but the 720p screen is grainy and the chipset stutters on anything demanding.

Strengths · 4

Large 6.7-inch screen and 90Hz refresh for a phone under €160, making it a good deal for video and reading
5200 mAh battery delivers a full day on moderate use—texting, browsing, social media
Lightweight at 190g and only 8.3mm thick, easy to pocket and hold for long periods
Expandable storage via dedicated microSD slot, useful for those who shoot video or download offline content

Trade-offs · 3

720p resolution on a 6.7-inch screen means visible pixelation and text fuzziness at normal viewing distance
MediaTek Helio G81 is entry-level; it handles apps and casual browsing but will lag on multitasking and stall on demanding games
480-nit display brightness is weak outdoors in direct sunlight, washing out content on a sunny day
