GoSolo Verdict

The Camon 30 Pro 5G offers a rare combination of a high-refresh AMOLED display and a near-flagship chipset at a price that undercuts most competitors in its class. It delivers solid all-around performance and visual quality, though the 1080p resolution and incomplete camera package keep it from breaking out of the competent-but-ordinary tier.

Strengths · 4

High-refresh 144Hz AMOLED display with vibrant colours and near-90% screen-to-body ratio, exceptional for the price
MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra handles demanding games and apps without throttling, a rare find at this price point
Slim 7.68mm profile and dual nanoSIM for user choice without sacrificing too much functionality
5000 mAh battery sized for all-day use without the bloat of heavier competing phones

Trade-offs · 3

1080p resolution on a 6.78-inch display is noticeably soft; rivals at this price now push 1440p or closer
No mention of charging wattage in specs, raising suspicions that it lags behind 65W+ standards rivals have adopted
Camera hardware is sparse by 2024 standards—the spec sheet lists no ultrawide or telephoto details, suggesting a lightweight setup
