GoSolo Verdict

The Tecno Spark 50 is a large, heavy budget phone built for people who want all-day battery and a big screen without pretence. It does the basics reliably but the low-res display and aging chipset mean it is genuinely behind the curve for 2026, even at its ₹19,999 price.

Strengths · 4

6500 mAh battery with a large, sturdy body that feels built to last more than a month of normal use
Dedicated microSD slot gives real breathing room if you max out storage
IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H compliance are uncommon at this price, and drop resistance up to 1.5m is practical
50MP main camera with f/1.9 and PDAF is genuinely useful in daylight, not a token sensor

Trade-offs · 3

720p on a 6.78-inch screen is genuinely low-res (256 ppi); text and icons look pixelated compared to the 1080p displays rivals offer at the same money
Dimensity 6400 is already a generation behind by 2026, and paired with only 4–6GB RAM on base variants, expect hesitation in heavy apps and multitasking
Thick and heavy at 210g and 8.2mm, which is noticeable in pocket and hand after a few hours
