Honor X7d review
The Honor X7d is a large-screen 5G phone built for budget shoppers who need a full day of use and don't mind a fuzzy display
This review is based on Honor’s published specifications and public benchmark data for the Honor X7d, and the rating is spec-based. GoSolo does not physically test devices; where we estimate real-world behaviour such as battery life or charge time, we say so. How we rate phones.
Overview
The Honor X7d is a large-screen 5G phone built for budget shoppers who need a full day of use and don't mind a fuzzy display. The Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 struggles with any serious gaming, and 720p on a 6.77-inch screen means text looks soft, but 35W charging and a 6500mAh battery deliver real staying power for the price.
Verdict
- 6500mAh battery lasts a full day of moderate use; 35W charging refills in under an hour
- 6.77-inch 120Hz LCD is genuinely bright (850 nits peak) and handles outdoor visibility
- 5G connectivity and IP65 dust/splash resistance for the money
- Side-mounted fingerprint and stereo speakers add polish for the class
- 720p resolution on such a large screen leaves text and images noticeably soft at normal viewing distance
- Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 stumbles on any demanding game; even mid-tier 3D titles hit frame drops
- 5MP selfie camera is genuinely weak; 1080p@30fps video caps out what rivals offer at this price
