This review is based on Vivo’s published specifications and public benchmark data for the Vivo iQOO Neo10, and the rating is spec-based. GoSolo does not physically test devices; where we estimate real-world behaviour such as battery life or charge time, we say so. How we rate phones.

Overview

The iQOO Neo10 is a big, bright AMOLED gaming phone with the latest flagship chip and a full day of battery life. At €300, it delivers real performance without the €1000+ flagship tax, but its camera is basic and the screen size makes it a handful.

Design & build

At 162.9 x 75.4 x 8mm and 199–206g, the Neo10 is a compact flagship by diagonal but a handful in reality. The 6.78-inch screen crammed into a 20:9 aspect ratio makes it tall and narrow, like holding a small tablet. In one hand, it demands a secure grip or a shift down to reach the top. The 8mm thickness is respectable and keeps it from feeling bloated, and the weight is acceptable, but day-to-day this is a phone you feel when reaching for it. Slim bezels and a 90.4% screen-to-body ratio mean more glass than frame, which looks clean but adds little practical gain.

Display

The 1260 x 2800 LTPO AMOLED screen is where the Neo10 justifies its existence. At 453ppi, pixel density is sharp without excess; the real story is brightness and refresh. The 4500-nit peak makes it genuinely usable in direct sunlight—no squinting at maps or photos outdoors. The 144Hz refresh rate matters for gaming (Genshin, Honkai) and scrolling feels visibly smooth compared to 120Hz rivals. The 1800-nit high brightness mode is practical for everyday sun, and HDR10+ support means streaming video looks rich. This screen is one of the year's better phone displays at any price, especially at €300.

Performance

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is current-generation flagship silicon, and the Neo10 runs it without compromise. Demanding games hold 60fps at high settings for hours without thermal throttle; multitasking is instant and app launches vanish. For a phone at this price, having flagship performance is a real anomaly. The Adreno 750 GPU handles 3D workloads the way you expect from a top-tier chip, and the 12GB or 16GB RAM variants keep everything smooth. This is a gaming phone that actually delivers, without the thousand-euro outlay of a flagship brand.

Software

The Neo10 ships with Android 15 and OriginOS 5 overlay. Vivo's OriginOS is lighter and closer to stock than many rivals, which is welcome; Android 15 brings the latest features and security patches. Long-term support is not guaranteed to match Samsung or Apple, but for a year or two you will get updates. The software is functional and does not get in the way, which is all you need from a gaming-focused phone.

Camera

The rear camera is a 50MP f/1.8 main with OIS and a 1/1.56" sensor, good on paper but ordinary in execution. In daylight it captures sharp, well-balanced images, and OIS helps in lower light. The real weakness is the 8MP ultrawide at f/2.2 with a 119° field of view. It is narrow by ultrawide standards (most flagships hit 114–120°) and the 8MP resolution means crops and rescans feel mushy compared to the main. There is no telephoto, which limits composition for portraits or distant subjects. The 16MP selfie camera is adequate for video calls and social media. Video maxes out at 8K, which is spec sheet padding; most users shoot 4K, and the quality is solid with gyro-EIS. Overall, the camera does the job but does not excite; it feels like the cost-cutting area in an otherwise ambitious spec sheet.

Battery & charging

The 6100mAh battery lasts one full day on moderate-to-heavy use (6–7 hours screen-on time), reaching evening before needing a charge. Lighter days may stretch to 36 hours, but this is not a two-day phone. The screen size and brightness draw power steadily, and the Snapdragon, while efficient, is still a flagship and will drain the cell under load. At 120W charging (per the GSM sheet), the battery should refill from empty to full in around 30 minutes, which is competitive and offsets the one-day endurance. For a gaming phone, losing a night of gaming or video and needing a topup is a known trade-off you accept for the screen and performance.

Value & verdict-context

At €300, the Neo10 is priced for the global south where flagship performance matters but flagship prices do not stick. You are getting Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 silicon and a best-in-class screen for a third of what Samsung or OnePlus charge for similar performance. The camera compromise and one-day battery are real, and the large narrow screen is not for everyone, but if gaming, video, and a bright display are your priorities, the value is genuine. Rivals at this price either use last-year's chips or omit high refresh displays; the Neo10 does neither. The lack of a card slot and the fixed storage mean you commit upfront, which is fine if you pick the right capacity tier.

Verdict

This is a phone for gamers and media watchers who prioritize a bright, smooth screen and raw performance and can live with a basic camera and one day of battery. Anyone wanting a pocket-friendly all-rounder with balanced strengths should look elsewhere.

Strengths
  • 4500-nit peak brightness and 144Hz LTPO AMOLED screen is genuinely readable in harsh sunlight and smooth for scrolling and games
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 handles demanding titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail at high settings without lag or thermal throttle
  • Up to 1TB internal storage with no card slot means you choose your capacity once and stick with it—no fiddling, and plenty of room for a large game library
  • 120W charging (per GSM data) gets the 6100mAh battery refilled quickly, which matters given the screen drains it by evening on moderate use
Trade-offs
  • 6.78-inch screen is large and narrow (20:9), making it awkward to hold and pocket for everyday use
  • Camera system is uninspired: 50MP main with OIS is solid, but the 8MP ultrawide is weak and there is no telephoto, limiting composition options
  • Battery endurance is one full day at best on moderate-to-heavy use; lighter days may stretch it, but this is not an all-weekend phone
