GoSolo Verdict
The Alexa Tablet 8 is a budget WiFi-only slate for streaming, Alexa control, and light work at a price that makes sense for households already in Amazon's ecosystem. It's not a replacement for a real iPad or Android tablet at work, but it does the basics without pretense.
Strengths · 4
- Stylus support out of the box adds real value for note-taking and sketching without an expensive add-on
- Android 16 and a modern MediaTek chip handle everyday tasks smoothly; no lag on streaming or Alexa control
- Around €210 is low enough that WiFi-only makes sense; you're not paying flagship money for cellular you don't want
- Solid build with glass front and aluminum frame feels durable for the price
Trade-offs · 3
- 179 ppi on an 8.7-inch screen is noticeably soft; text and UI are fuzzy compared to tablets from rivals at similar or lower prices
- 4600 mAh battery is skimpy for an 8.7-inch display; expect 6–7 hours of mixed use, not a full workday
- 4 GB RAM with no microSD slot means the base 64 GB model fills up fast if you store anything beyond apps and cache
