display

11-inch, 500-nit TFT LCD, 90HzThe 500-nit brightness handles indoor and overcast reading, but direct sunlight will wash out the image; 90Hz refresh is steady for scrolling through documents and web pages without judder.

battery

10100 mAh, roughly 2 days light useWith video playback, email, and reading, expect about 12 to 14 hours of screen-on time before needing a charge; the large capacity means the tablet can sit for weeks in standby.

performance

Snapdragon 680, basic app handlingThe octa-core processor and Adreno 610 GPU run email, web browsing, and light office tasks smoothly; demanding games or heavy video editing will lag noticeably.

camera

5MP main and selfie, 1080p videoBoth cameras capture standard videoconference quality and casual snapshots; zoom and night shots will look soft, and video is capped at 30fps, so fast motion appears choppy.

GoSolo Verdict

The Honor Pad X8b is a straightforward 11-inch budget tablet built for reading, messaging, and office tasks, with a durable design and battery life that survives two days of light use. Its Snapdragon 680 and 5MP cameras are weak spots for anything beyond basic work, and the TFT screen looks washed out in direct sunlight—but at around €150, it asks little of you and delivers what it promises.

Strengths · 4

10100 mAh battery lasts comfortably through a full day of reading, email, and light web work without hunting for a charger
11-inch 16:10 LCD is roomy for documents and spreadsheets; 207 ppi is legible at arm's length
Thin at 7.3 mm and light at 496 g for its screen size, with sturdy aluminum and glass construction
microSDXC slot lets you expand storage beyond the base 64GB without relying on cloud services

Trade-offs · 3

Snapdragon 680 struggles with anything heavier than email and light browsing; games and video editing will stall noticeably
500 nits looks dull in bright sunlight, and TFT LCD has narrow viewing angles compared to OLED rivals at higher prices
Both cameras are 5MP without optical zoom, making videoconference framing tight and night shots soft
