GoSolo Verdict

The S30 Pro mini pairs flagship performance and a 3x optical zoom camera in a genuinely compact body, making it a rare alternative to the 6.7-inch flagships that dominate the market. It's a thoughtful, well-balanced phone that plays to its size rather than fighting it, though the 90W charging is now standard and not a differentiator at this price.

Strengths · 4

Compact at 150.8mm with a 6.31-inch display—rare in 2025 flagship space where 6.7-inch is the norm, and the 19.5:9 ratio makes it genuinely one-handed
Dimensity 9300+ delivers flagship-class gaming and app performance with zero throttling; paired with 12 or 16GB RAM it handles demanding work equally well as the larger flagships
Periscope 3x telephoto with OIS gives optical zoom without the usual size penalty; telephoto performance matters more than another megapixel count in real shooting
IP68 water resistance to 1.5m for 30 minutes, uncommon durability in a compact phone where skipping it would be cost-cutting

Trade-offs · 3

6500 mAh battery, solid for the size, still falls short of the 5000+ mAh typical in larger flagships—expect 6 to 8 hours active screen time, not 10+
90W charging is fine but no longer ahead; rivals at this price have matched it, and some flagship ultrabooks now hit 120W or faster
8MP ultrawide is the weak camera point—only 106 degrees and modest resolution; a 50MP ultrawide is becoming standard at this tier
