performance

Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, Adreno 613This runs everyday apps, social media, and light games smoothly, but will struggle with heavy 3D games at high settings.

display

6.68", 720p, 120Hz, 1000 nitsThe 120Hz refresh makes scrolling fluid, and 1000 nits peak brightness handles direct sunlight, but 720p means text and icons are noticeably less sharp than 1080p phones at this screen size.

battery

6500mAh, about 1.5 to 2 days light useWith modest daily use (calls, messaging, light browsing) you'll stretch it to a full day or a bit beyond; heavy streaming or gaming will drain it in a single day.

durability

IP68 and IP69, 209g, 8.39mmRated for full dust protection and water immersion up to 6 metres; the phone is moderately light and compact, so it fits pockets without bulk.

GoSolo Verdict

The Vivo Y31 5G is a water-resistant, long-battery budget phone for emerging markets, built around 5G access and ruggedness rather than power. Its 720p display and entry-level chip mean you're trading screen sharpness and gaming headroom for a price tag around 150 EUR and a battery that easily lasts a full day.

Strengths · 4

5G connectivity at this price tier, still uncommon in entry-level phones
IP68/IP69 rating and MIL-STD-810H compliance for genuine dust and water protection
6500 mAh battery comfortably delivers a full day of everyday use; heavy users may stretch to two
120Hz display refresh keeps scrolling fluid despite the low resolution

Trade-offs · 3

720p resolution on a 6.68-inch screen leaves text and icons noticeably soft compared to 1080p competitors in this price range
Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 handles messaging and social media but stumbles with modern 3D games at playable settings
Charging speed missing from spec sheet; unclear whether this supports the 44W hinted at in metadata, or slower
