GoSolo Read / what it means6 takeaways

performance

Dimensity 9300+, 16GB RAMThe octa-core MediaTek chip at 3.4GHz with 16GB memory handles demanding Android apps and mid-range games (Genshin Impact on medium-high settings at 60fps), not ultra-high-end titles at maximum.

battery

10600mAh, roughly 2 days light useAt this capacity with a large 6.67-inch display, you can expect about 14 to 16 hours of heavy screen-on time or stretch to a full second day if you use email and messaging mostly.

charging

50W wireless only, roughly 3+ hoursWireless charging at 50W is slower than wired on most phones; count on about 3 to 4 hours for a full charge, so not practical for a quick top-up before leaving.

display

120Hz AMOLED, 2200 nits peakThe 2200-nit peak brightness handles direct sunlight legibly, and 120Hz refresh makes scrolling visibly smooth; at 1080p on a 6.67-inch screen, you may notice individual pixels up close.

durability

IP68 and IP69, 480g weightRated for submersion in fresh water to 2m for 30 minutes (IP68) and high-pressure jets (IP69K), making it rugged enough for construction sites or wet work, though the 480g bulk feels substantial in hand.

storage

1TB internal, microSD expandable1TB of built-in storage is uncommon; microSD support adds extra capacity for media, though the unspecified storage speed (likely UFS 3.1 or later) affects app and photo library load times.

GoSolo Verdict

The Armor 28 Ultra Thermal is built for fieldworkers and outdoor professionals who need ruggedness, all-day battery, and a thermal camera—not a traditional flagship. It trades speed and finesse (slow wireless charging, thick and heavy, pixel-visible display) for durability, storage, and a niche imaging tool.

Strengths · 4

IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H durability with 2m drop resistance covers real fieldwork abuse; far more robust than any standard flagship
10,600mAh battery stretches beyond a full day of heavy use, paired with minimal bloat and a 6.67-inch screen that demands power but does not waste it
1TB storage with microSD expansion and UFS 4.0 means no cloud reliance for site photos, thermal data, or large files on remote jobs
Thermal imaging camera (ThermoVue T2) plus night vision with infrared lights makes this genuinely useful for building inspection, electrical faults, and search-and-rescue—real tools, not gimmicks

Trade-offs · 3

50W wireless-only charging takes 3+ hours for a full charge; no wired option means you cannot grab 30 minutes of power before leaving the job site
450g weight and 19.4mm thickness feel substantial and fatiguing on long days, noticeably heavier than mainstream flagships
1080p on 6.67 inches shows visible pixels up close; at this resolution the large, bright display does not feel as sharp as rivals at the same price
